just another wednesday night...

shh....

I have a new found love for reggae and drafting.  the combo- it's killer.
I didn't tell you this though, our little secret.

crank that beat, and get your draw on
draw  houses, layouts, sketch, whatever...

from a small an unscientific study: listening to reggae while drawing increases productivity.  it has increased my productivity by 50%,  wait...that may be a lie.  Like I said...this is an unscientific study.
and thinking about it now...I do have to take alittle time to do a jig every now and then, pencil in hand.  So it may not actually be making me more productive.  but time is flying, and MAN do i feel good. It just made drafting alittle more fun.

wow, i'm a loser.   so don't tell anyone,  just try it...and enter in to the realm of reggae

colour as light

Josef Albers inspired

for michelle

I miss you.
and dedicate this post to you, entirely to you.

Exploration of colour, or an explosion of colour. Which ever way you choose to look at it.

Below are various views of a "sculpture"  I created.   It is a represontaion of a dance video I watched. We were instructed to create a "space"  from the emotions and movements of a particular dance.  This is my interpretaion.

flow, movement, connection.

unsettled

a photographic exploration of the war museum, in Ottawa.   A structural analysis.  The architect was successfully able to convey emotion through this building structure.  You never feel settled in this building, and that was the intent. War isn't settled.

Mondays

are my favourite. For one simple reason:  early morning drawing class, and coffee. the combination.  Despite the fact that I have to wake up early, mondays always seem to turn out just fine.  To me they are  breath of fresh air, as I transition from weekend to routine.  Monday mornings set the tone.  As for the rest of the weekdays, well...whens friday.
